“Explaining what I do is very hard right now since what I do seems to be changing all of the time,” says Julie, our 2017 Q3 INTEGRITY Values Champion. Julie is a Human Resources Generalist at the Sacramento, California, facility and her main focus right now is to support the second phase of the company’s Competitive Improvement Program (CIP2). “Where the rubber meets the road is knowing that the right thing to do isn’t always the easiest to do, but we must follow through with our tasks to ensure the success of the company,” says Julie.

Being in Human Resources can be difficult because the team is involved in hiring employees, delivering mandatory training, determining staffing needs, motivating, rewarding and disciplining employees. “It’s a lot to do,” says Julie. “However, I was hired to do a job and I’m going to do it to the best of my ability.” Julie knows hard work and has worked on many projects, which were neither always easy nor popular due to a resistance to change; but she prides herself on always doing the right thing to the best of her ability.
