Karen’s great attitude of taking on new challenges on short notice makes the Shared Value of ADAPTABILITY part of her daily life.   Over 32 years with the company Karen has worked in various roles and adapted to the needs of her site by helping out where she could and always being a team player.

“I never said no,” she says. “While I was growing up I always said “yes” and that carried on as I grew older and began working. It also means being able to bounce back after a setback and to keep an open mind and good attitude.”

As Karen sees it, values start at the top.  “Seeing upper management living the values inspires me to do better every day.  I believe it has the trickle-down effect.  If someone does not have values they live by and the company does not have values, you can easily see and feel that.  But when you have people who believe in integrity and the other values – that is the type of environment I want to work in.”
