Elizabeth, Aerojet Rocketdyne’s first quarter 2020 Values Champion for ADAPTABILITY says the company’s values are important to her because they set the tone for our employees and the customers we support. The values help set expectations and guide company decisions.

To Elizabeth, who has been with the company for two years, the value of Adaptability means “having a set of skills that makes you comfortable with change, having an open mind, being quick on your feet, and seeing the “big picture.” As a design engineer, Elizabeth’s role includes supporting production for the components she designs. Elizabeth explains that in her role, Adaptability helps her manage change and tackle new challenges with flexibility and creativity.

Daron, Elizabeth’s manager, attributes her strength in adaptability to her inquisitive nature and strong desire to learn about our products and the manufacturing process. One of Elizabeth’s colleagues, Kevin, adds, “She exemplifies the attitude, work ethic, and accountability that all employees should strive to achieve and does all of it while continuing here education outside of work with graduate level engineering classes.”

“I am inspired every day by the people I work with,” says Elizabeth, “No matter how trivial the question, everyone goes out of their way to help me. I live the values because I want to pay it forward and am proud of the work I do.”
