Ed is Aerojet Rocketdyne's first quarter of 2022 Values Champion for ACCOUNTABILITY. He says that the company's values are important because they tell our customers they can rely on Aerojet Rocketdyne to produce reliable products that they are happy with.

To Ed, who has been with the company for 40 years, the value of Accountability means "standing by your word." As a software engineer, Ed is frequently asked to process test data. One of Ed's many strengths is his ability to quickly and precisely chart data to enable quick and accurate decision making. According to Ed, "I always ensure that I’m giving my customers the best and most accurate information that I can because I know that our programs depend on that information. And the people making key decisions about those products depend on that information as well."

According to Ed, his inspiration to live the Aerojet Rocketdyne values comes from being a part of the team that successfully launches rockets. "When you watch a rocket launch, especially with astronauts on board, it really makes you think about how important your job is," said Ed. "When the launch occurs, being able to say 'I had something to do with that!' is a cool feeling."

Alan, Ed's manager, says that Ed has some excellent traits that others can learn from. "Ed does an excellent job looking down the road to ensure that there are no obstacles to his commitments, and if there are, he is able to work them out in advance." Alan added, "Ed isn’t afraid to make a commitment in the first place and is often the first to volunteer if there is a need."
