Barbara is Aerojet Rocketdyne's first quarter of 2023 Values Champion for ACCOUNTABILITY. She is being recognized as someone who demonstrates every day what accountability looks like. She is always willing to accept new challenges and assignments and completes them in a responsible way to ensure the success of the company as well as our customers.

For Barbara, who has been with the company for 35 years, the value of Accountability means "actively and responsibly managing, or acting upon, the promises I make." Barbara adds, "I always ensure that I’m personally invested and take ownership of the projects that I’m responsible for. One way that I ensure we are successful is by clearly and effectively communicating to the team to ensure that everyone perfectly executes our commitments that enable the success of our company."

According to Barbara, her inspiration to live the Aerojet Rocketdyne values comes from the way that the company embraces the values. "I am happy to see how Aerojet Rocketdyne has taken an active interest in the ‘whole’ person by instilling our values throughout the entire organization," said Barbara. "This has led to continuing to build positive communities at our facilities so it's not just a workplace. This is just one of the many things that makes Aerojet Rocketdyne such a great place to work."

Jim, Barbara’s supervisor, says that others can learn from Barbara through her willingness to always help the business and her colleagues. "Every day Barbara brings a positive attitude to work and is confident in her abilities and instincts," says Jim. "She's always accountable and delivers on her commitments.
